LEBANON - Film of the month October (09/2010)

The Jury of evangelische Filmarbeit named LEBANON the movie of the month October.

The jury statement: “The whole movie is consequently shot from an inside perspective out of a tank. Through this the public shares the claustrophobic closeness and also the emotional disturbed state experienced by the soldiers. The guns cross hairs with its limited view becomes the second camera and targets the outside as a battlefield with its victims. The film shows traumatizing experiences from the perspectives of different involved persons, to whom the tank becomes symbol of their pain and being caught.  The war knows no winners, only losers.”

LEBANON is shown at the Best of FilmFestival two weeks prior to the German release, on Tuesday, 28th of September at 9:00 pm at the E-Kinos, Frankfurt am Main.
